Meet
the Ponies
Amazon & Rapid are miniature Shetland ponies originally born in Devon. They moved to Hampshire with us a number of years ago and quickly became ‘pint sized’ celebrities in the village.
They were our children’s first ponies and became an integral part of the family. They have an abundance of affection and thrive on making everyone smile on and off the screen.

Amazon
Born and bred in Devon, Amazon is the oldest of the Shetland brothers and stands at around 9hh.
This liver chestnut scamp loves nothing more than tummy tickles and being right in on the action, with the odd carrot and nose kiss thrown in.

Rapid
Rapid is the youngest of the crew, also standing at around 9hh.
This bright chestnut boy enjoys glitter and all-round attention and fuss from his public, with apples provided on tap.

Our Family Story
Amazon and Rapid were our children’s first ponies and became an integral part of our family.
What started as two much-loved ponies in Devon grew into something much bigger when we moved them to Hampshire. Their gentle nature and love for people inspired us to create Ponies & Plaits, so we could share the joy they bring with other families.
Everything we do is built around them, their happiness, their care, and the magical experiences they help create.
